Is there anything better than Peanut Butter Oreo Ice Cream? I think not! This easy, healthy protein ice cream recipe for Ninja Creami combines the richness of peanut butter with the beloved Oreo cookie for the ultimate flavor combination you won’t be able to get enough of!

I still remember the first time I tried the Peanut Butter-Oreo combo–it was after seeing the Parent Trap for the first time. That iconic flavor combo has stayed with me ever since!
While I already have a peanut butter protein ice cream recipe and it’s easy enough to add Oreos to it, I decided I wanted to tweak the recipe slightly and create a version specific to Peanut Butter-Oreo with an even stronger Peanut Butter flair while still being filled with protein and as low-calorie as I can make it.
This recipe is the perfect addition to my Ninja Creami Protein Ice Cream collection, and I’m sure you’re going to love it!

Ingredients

To make my Oreo Peanut Butter Protein Ice Cream, you need the following:
Cottage Cheese – I use 2% for my Creami recipes. You can also use fat free or full fat–whichever cottage cheese suits your dietary needs.
Whey Protein Isolate – Legion Whey+ is my favorite due to its more natural taste and clean ingredients. If you wish to use a protein powder that is not 100% whey isolate, you may need to use less than this recipe calls for.
Powdered Peanut Butter such as Pb2 or PbFit.
Zero-Calorie Brown Sugar Substitute – You can also use regular brown sugar or any sugar substitute you prefer. The caramel flavors of brown sugar complement the peanut butter flavor well.
Coconut Milk Beverage or skim milk.
Vanilla Bean Paste
Oreos or other chocolate cookie of choice.
How to Make Peanut Butter Oreo Protein Ice Cream

1. Blend Ingredients
Add all of your ingredients to the Ninja Creami pint container except for the Oreos. Blend the mixture together using an immersion blender.

2. Freeze for 24 Hours
Cover the pint container and place it on a flat surface in your freezer for at least 24 hours.

3. Spin on Lite Ice Cream
When ready to eat, remove the pint container from the freezer. Remove the lid and install the pint container into the Ninja Creami ice cream maker’s outer bowl or as indicated per the manufacturer’s directions for your model.
Press the “Lite Ice Cream” button for your first spin.

4. Re-Spin or Mix-In, Add Oreos
Once the first spin completes, uninstall the pint container and remove the outer bowl lid to check on the ice cream texture. From here, you have a few options:
If it is no where near creamy, put the blade lid back on, reinstall the pint, and spin again–this time with the “re-spin” function.
If it is close to your preferred final texture, then you can do another spin with the “Mix-In” cycle. If desired, dig out a well in the center of the ice cream and place 2-3 Oreos in it. Reinstall the pint container as directed and press Mix In.
Alternatively, you can do a re-spin without the cookies and crush them on your own, then stir them into the ice cream when it is done spinning. This will allow you to have bigger cookie pieces which many people prefer (myself included).

For the thickest & creamiest results, I recommend either skim milk (dairy) or coconut milk (the low calorie beverage, not necessarily the full-fat canned milk–though you can use that if you’d like!).
Nut milks, such as almond, cashew, macadamia, etc. will work to make a creamy. However, the texture will be a tad thinner than the other milks I have recommended.
