Instant Pot Minnesota Wild Rice Recipe

Make this deliciously chewy and nutty grain the easy way-- right in your Instant Pot or pressure cooker!

1. Measure Rice

Measure out 16 ounces (1 pound) of wild rice. This recipe makes a large batch for freezing.

2. Rinse Rice

Place your rice in a colander and rinse. Wild rice is usually clean, but this will remove any debris from packaging.

3. Add rice & water to pot

Add your rice plus 5 cups of water to your pressure cooker. Place the lid on the pot and move the vent to sealing.

4. Cook & Natural Release

Cook your rice on high pressure for 30 minutes. Allow pressure to naturally release on its own to get all the water absorbed.

5. Rice is ready to enjoy!

Rice is now ready to use. Eat right away or refrigerate for cold recipes. This rice freezes very well!
